How do I remove my photos from the frame?

Photos and acetate cover can be easily removed using a straightened paper clip either through a small hole in the back or on the side of the frame.

Can I use digital photos from my camera or scanner?

Yes, digital images can be printed out on your home printer instead of using a colour copier. However, digital images can vary in size and resolution. Your home computer must be equipped with a software package that can reduce and crop the image. Please refer to the software manual for additional guidance. The image must be reduced to a specific size to fit perfectly in the miniature frame. This measurement can also be found on the EZ Fit photo reduction template that is included with your Memory Maker product.

What is the best way to crop my photos?

Cropping simply means to trim. Perhaps you have a group shot and you only want one face or your picture has too much background. The EZ Fit photo reduction system will allow you to easily isolate the area of the picture to be cropped. Click on the "How It Works" tab for further details.

What happens if my bracelets comes into contact with water?

Whether you use original photo prints or colour copies, water will damage any picture. Although the pictures are protected somewhat by an acetate cover it is recommended that bracelet not be worn in situations where water can contact the bracelet. Photos can be protected by lamination.

Can I laminate my photos?

Yes, you can laminate the photos. Laminating will protect photos from damage caused by moderate moisture, humidity and fading due to prolonged exposure to sunlight. However, we recommend that your photo reduction be altered slightly to accommodate for the laminate material. When laminating, it is required that a seal be formed around the edge of the picture. To allow for this seal, it is recommended that your picture be reduced by an additional 4%. For example, if the photo reduction template calls for a 40% reduction, you would reduce to 36%, making the copy slightly smaller. The thickness of the laminated photo will not prevent you from placing the photo in the frame.

Will my photos fade?

Photos printed from home ink jet printers on glossy photo quality paper can fade if exposed to direct sunlight over a prolonged period of time. Laminating the photo copies can prevent this.

Can I use my original photo prints instead of making copies?

If you would like to use your original prints you will have to trim them to fit correctly in the frame. The EZ Fit photo reduction template has one window marked “Actual Size”. You can use this window as a guide. Place template over your photograph, trace a border and then trim.
